About Me
Hello!
Hi An-Neyoung-Ha-Seyo!
I’m Jisun; Korean Culinary Chef from Busan, South Korea.
I have been living in South London for over 22 years and look forward to sharing my Korean food expertise with you.
I have always loved cooking and really enjoy Korean food. When I was young, my grandma and mum taught me how to cook Korean food using traditional methods.
Every year between October and November, my mum and I made Kimchi using over 300 cabbages. This annual tradition of Kimchi making is known as ‘Gimjang’ (It’s listed on UNESCO Intangible Heritage List) and was originally to provide fermented foods to families throughout the entire winter. Kimchi is now one of my specialties!
During Covid-19, I spent a lot of time at home perfecting my cooking techniques and decided to increase my knowledge with a professional qualification. I traveled back to South Korea and studied traditional Korean dishes and techniques. I received my Korean Culinary License from the South Korean Government.
I have started ONA (meaning “are you coming” in Korean) to share Korean food, culture and cooking experiences with people in the United Kingdom. Korean food is both healthy and delicious! I love cooking Korean food for my family and friends; I would love to share my traditional Korean dishes and techniques with you!
